Our faith, our hope, and our purpose all flow from Him. We invite you to learn more about what He means to us.

We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As our name reflects, Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of our faith.

We believe He is the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and our truest friend. His life, teachings, and sacrifice give meaning to everything we do.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

What We Believe About Christ

Our Savior & Redeemer

We believe Jesus Christ atoned for our sins, making it possible for us to be forgiven, healed, and return to live with God again.

The Resurrection

Because Christ rose from the dead, we believe all people will be resurrected. Death is not the end—it’s a doorway to eternal life.

The Light of the World

His teachings illuminate the path to lasting happiness. By following Him, we find direction, purpose, and peace in a complicated world.

Our Advocate & Friend

Christ understands our struggles perfectly. He walks with us through every challenge, offering comfort, strength, and unconditional love.

Following His Example

Jesus spent His life serving others—healing the sick, comforting the lonely, and lifting those who struggled. He showed us that true greatness comes through love and service.

We strive to follow His example in our own lives: caring for our families, serving our neighbors, and extending kindness to everyone we meet—regardless of background or belief.

Our Visitors’ Center exists because of this desire to share what brings us joy and hope. We simply want others to feel the peace that comes from knowing Him.

The Christus Statue

At the heart of our Visitors’ Center stands a replica of Bertel Thorvaldsen’s Christus—a beautiful marble sculpture depicting the resurrected Savior with outstretched arms.

The original was created in 1821 and resides in Copenhagen, Denmark. This replica invites visitors to pause, reflect, and feel the invitation in His open embrace: “Come unto me.”

Many visitors describe standing before the Christus as one of the most moving moments of their visit.
